Keishinkan is the Perth branch of the Japan Aikido Association and was founded by Katie Noad and Noriko Shimada on 19th October 1989. It now operates under the banner of Japanese Martial Arts Centre Incorporated, which is a not-for-profit membership-based club offering Tomiki-style Aikido and Katori Shinto Ryu classical weapons classes. Children aged 12+ are generally welcome to join regular classes. Aikido is a non-aggressive martial art and our lessons are designed to promote fitness, good manners, focus and care for one another. Small class size, attentive teachers, and friendly members.
