Karoonda Districts Football & Netball club

Football started in Karoonda in the year 1914, two years after the town was settled. The first team was called Karoonda Football Club.

In 1977 Borrika Football club (situated 16 kms east of Karoonda) merged with Karoonda Football Club to be called Karoonda Borrika Football Club.

Karoonda Borrika Football Club to form Karoonda Districts Football Club. Karoonda Districts Football Club plays in the Mallee Football League.

The fact that both Karoonda Districts Football and Netball Clubs play together means we are a very family orientated club with some families having Mum, Dad, and their kids all playing Football or Netball on any given Saturday in winter, somewhere in the Mallee for Karoonda Districts.
