Irymple Knights Soccer Club (IKSC) is a proud and successful sports club located in Mildura Rural City. Established in 1978, the club has become a prominent part of the Sunraysia soccer community and is the most successful club in Football Federation Sunraysia history.
The club has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s when soccer games were sporadically played in the Sunraysia region. In 1911, Irymple proudly fielded a soccer team known as Irymple Soccer Club (Irymple SC), which consisted of a mix of locally born players and working class British migrants. The team competed in the Mildura competition for four years before World War 1 put an end to their endeavours. Sadly, the club lost nine of its starting 11 players during the war.
After a 63-year hiatus, the club was revitalised in 1978 by Croatian migrants who had settled in the area. Originally known as Zagreb S. C, the club was founded by Frank Radman Senior and a few supporters. Their dedication and hard work laid the foundation and values that the club still upholds today.
The club is situated on Henshilwood Reserve in Irymple.
IKSC offers opportunities for all players, regardless of age or gender, to participate in soccer. All players must be registered online through the 'playfootball site' and have paid their registration fees in order to play. The club is inclusive and welcomes both experienced and novice players to join their teams.
