Initial Drift Australia

Founded in 2003, Initial Drift Australia (IDA) is the first car club in Australia to be sanctioned by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sports (CAMS) under the new “Drifting” category. Located in Goulburn Mulwaree Council, IDA is dedicated to promoting and organising drifting events at closed circuits, ensuring the safety of all participants. They have been involved in various events, ranging from beginner drift schools to full 32-car competition events at renowned tracks such as Oran Park, Eastern Creek, and Wakefield Park.

One unique aspect of IDA is that it is not just a club run by administrators; it has a dedicated team of experienced drifters who ensure that every event is enjoyable for both beginners and seasoned drifters. The club is incorporated as a not-for-profit organisation, meaning that any profits raised from their track days go back into the club, helping them improve future events.
