The Illawarra District Table Tennis Association Inc, established in 1947, is celebrating its 70th year of operation in 2017. Located in Wollongong, the club welcomes all table tennis enthusiasts to join their community.

The IDTTA is conveniently located near the University and central Wollongong at the Beaton Park Leisure Centre off Foley's Rd Gwynneville. The club is even accessible via the Free Gong Shuttle Bus route. Whether individuals are interested in joining the local competition, seeking practise opportunities, or simply looking for a casual hit, the IDTTA warmly welcomes all levels of players. New members are encouraged to introduce themselves to the friendly players.
Regular team competitions take place on Monday nights from 7:20pm to 10:30pm, while practise sessions are hosted at the same venue on Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. The main competition starts in early March, with team entries due in late February. In the event that individuals have missed the entry period, the association may be able to accommodate them based on various skill levels. The IDTTA houses 12 competition-standard tables to cater to all ages and abilities.

The IDTTA also publishes an annual calendar that outlines the various events and competition dates. The calendar includes the Annual General Meeting, which takes place on 13th February, followed by a practise session. Monday nights are devoted to the competition, with start times at 7:20pm and finish times at 10:30pm. The Spring competition runs from August to October, while the Closed Championships occur in August.
In addition to competitive play, the IDTTA offers training and coaching sessions on Thursdays from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. The club also hosts fun competitions, including the Triples competition and teams based upon three players per team.
