Hurstville City Minotaurs is a sports club located in Sydney, Australia. Established in 1985, the club initially received support from the Cretan Community of NSW, but now operates with sponsorship from various private sponsors.
Led by long-time Head Coach Peter “The General” Sarikakis, the club started with just one team competing in the “Business Comp” on Sunday mornings. Over the years, the club has grown significantly and currently has 20 teams ranging from under 6 boys and girls to the 1st Grade team competing in the NSW State League Division Two. They also have teams in all age groups, girls and ladies teams, as well as an O/35 Men's team.
Hurstville City Minotaurs has a rich history of success, having won numerous premierships throughout the years. Their most notable achievements include winning the 1st Division Minor topship in 1997, which led to promotion to the NSW Super League. In 2007, they won the topship in the State League Division Two and were promoted to NSW State League Division One in 2008.
While the club narrowly missed out on promotion in subsequent years, they have remained a competitive force within their respective divisions. In 2010, both grades made it to the grand final, with the Reserve Grade being crowned champions for the season.
To join the Hurstville City Minotaurs, interested players aged 4. 5 to 18 years old can apply for a $100 voucher code via the Service NSW website. They can then visit the playfootball. com.
au website and select the age group they wish to register with. By entering the club's name, “Hurstville City Minotaurs SC,” in the drop-down menu, players can start the registration process. They will need to create a playfootball account if they don't already have one and follow the prompts to complete the registration. A photo will also need to be uploaded during this process.
Once registered, players are required to bring the receipt/invoice and identification (Birth Certificate, Driver's Licence, or Passport) to the clubhouse at Beverly Hills Park or email it to the club representative.
