Hills United FC is a leading sports club located in the Hills District of Sydney. Established in 1989, the club was founded by Castle Hill United FC and Baulkham Hills FC to cater to the strong demand for a representative football club in the Hills community. As the sole representative club in the region, Hills United FC provides male and female players with a pathway from local grassroots clubs to representative level football.
Hills United FC is a proud member of the Hills Football Association, which boasts over 14,000 registered players from local clubs in the area. The club is at the forefront of the growth of football in the region, with a 15% annual increase in registered players. With this rate of growth, Hills Football Incorporated is projected to become one of the largest football associations in the area.
The club offers a range of programmes for players of all ages and abilities. These include the SAP (Skills Acquisition Programme) and GSAP (Girls Skills Acquisition Programme) for mixed and girls-only teams aged between U9 and U13. The NPL (National leading Leagues) Boys Youth and Men Senior Division is available for U14 to U18 players, as well as senior reserve grade and first grade level teams. For girls, there is the WNPL (Women's National premier Leagues) Girls Youth and Women Senior Division for U14 to U16 players, as well as senior reserve grade and first grade level teams.
Additionally, the club offers a Powerchair All Ability programme and a senior NPL Men's team.
Hills United FC's dedication to player development is evident through their commitment to their Principles Pathway Programme, which focuses on nurturing young talent. The club also hosts various holiday clinics and coaching opportunities throughout the year, enabling players to further enhance their skills in a supportive and professional environment.
The success of Hills United FC can be seen through their achievements on the field. The club's first-grade men's team recently secured a 1-0 win against Canterbury Bankstown FC, showcasing their determination and skills in the 2023 competition. Hills United FC is also proud of their GSAP Under 11s team, led by Head Coach Greg Clay, who made it to the finals of the KEEPUP Kanga Cup, the largest international football tournament in the Southern Hemisphere.
Hills United FC is recognised for their impact both on and off the field. The women's team has proudly represented 'The Hills' in the first 50 games of the Football NSW League One Women's competition, and they have been honoured with an award presented by Mark Hodges, State MP for Castle Hill. The club president and head coach, Allan Tasses, together with MP Mark Hodges and Tristan Rimmer, celebrated the achievements of the team and highlighted their commitment to excellence.
