The Hills Hawks junior rugby league club was founded in 1983 with 153 registered players. They came fifth in the Club Championship with four teams in the semis and the U8s playing in the grand final. At that time our home ground was Glenorie Oval. By 1984 the club had grown to 12 teams with 240 registered players.
Over the years a change in demographics of the area saw the club move to new premises at Dural Park (near Round Corner) where we are currently based.
In 2008 the club was successful in having 7 teams progress through to the semi-finals with ultimately 2 teams, the 12’s & 13’s reaching the grand final.
Participation in the North Sydney competition offers a great alternative to neighbouring districts with the attraction of having a proven pathway into representative football with under 13’s, 14's & 15’s eligible for selection in rep squads who compete against the districts of Sydney Roosters, St George Dragons & Manly Warringah. Under 16’s are eligible for selection in the Harold Matthews competition and under 18’s are eligible for selection in the SG Ball competition.
Under 6's to 15's play on Saturday with the last game of the day scheduled around 4pm. Senior teams, 16's to A Grade, play on Sundays.
As the club moves into the 2016 season, the club is looking to build on the 3 teams from 2015 and ensure a prosperous future for the club.
