Hawks Ice Hockey Club is an Amateur Ice Hockey Club located in Perth, Western Australia. The club was established in 1997 and is based out of the Cockburn Ice Arena rink. Hawks Ice Hockey Club is a proud member of Ice Hockey Western Australia (IHWA), which oversees the leagues in which our teams participate.
The club caters to both Junior and Senior players in the Perth region. Our Junior teams are categorised by age groups, including U9, U11, U13, U15, and U18. For Senior players, we have teams ranging from leading League Level to Division 4. Many of our starting players begin their ice hockey journey in Division 4 and progress from there.
New players typically start their ice hockey experience at the Cockburn Ice Arena's “Play the Game & Skate the Game” programmes, where they are taught how to skate and play the sport. Once these programmes are completed, players can usually join one of our eligible teams.
Hawks Ice Hockey Club aims to support high participation, high performance, and the growth of the sports industry. We provide exceptional year-round programmes and services in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner. Our focus is on instructing, educating, and training players of all ages in the sport of ice hockey, improving their capabilities through games, clinics, workshops, lessons, and seminars.
We also prioritise the development of sportsmanship among our players for their physical and social well-being. We encourage a positive and respectful environment within our club.

The club is governed by a set of rules and policies that ensure fair play and a safe environment for all participants. These include the Rules of Association, Season Start Information Policy, Train/Play Up Policy, Changeroom Policy, and more. We also adhere to the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Rule Book, which sets the standard for the sport within Australia.
Our officials and coaching staff are trained according to IHWA standards. We offer IHWA Level 1 Coaching Courses to enhance the skills and knowledge of coaches. These courses include both classroom sessions and on-ice training.
