The Hawkesbury Hornets BMX Club was started by a group of passionate BMX riders and parents, including 2011 NSW State 40-45 Champion Brett Barnes. With some assistance a track was built, and the club was on its way.

The club prides itself on inclusion and encourages anyone who comes to the track to ride to have a go at racing. Training is also a big part of the club with separate sessions held for fitness and technique training.
The Hornets have a fantastic family atmosphere and each year is ended in a unique and fantastic manner whereby the members get together for a BBQ and AGM on a Saturday night, with a campout at the track to be followed up with fun filled race meeting the next morning.
