Harlequin Rugby Club, also known as “Quins,” is a highly successful rugby club located in Melbourne. Founded in 1928, it is one of the oldest and largest clubs in the city, with teams ranging from U6 to Dewar Shield premier 1st Grade, Masters, Wheelchair Rugby, and a comprehensive summer Junior and Senior Touch club.
In 2022, the club achieved remarkable success by winning its 11th Dewar Shield topship in the First Grade competition. This triumph was complemented by the club winning the Club Championship Cowper Shield for the sixth consecutive year. Notably, several Quins players have gone on to achieve higher honours in both International and Super Rugby, including Wallabies players Rob Valetini and Hunter Paisami.
The Harlequin Rugby Club is conveniently located in the inner south-eastern suburb of Ashwood, just a short 20-minute drive from Melbourne's CBD.
