Hallett Cove Little Athletics Centre has a rich history, as it was founded in 1973 as part of the South Australian Little Athletics Association (SALAA). The association is community-focused and aims to promote athletics for children aged 3–17 years. The events organised by the association are specially modified to suit the abilities and ages of the children, and a wide range of running, jumping, throwing, and walking events are conducted.
The club is governed by a committee of dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to ensure smooth operations and the best experiences for the athletes. The committee members include Megs White (Secretary), Gee Barfield (Treasurer), Paul Barfield (President), Kim McAvaney (Child Safe Officer), Cameron White (Coach), Adam Ireson (Registrations/Recorder), Kristy Templer (Competition and Officials Coordinator), Dave Hutchinson, Mick Dutton, Lani Waziri, and Rebecca McMillan (Committee Members).
Hallett Cove Little Athletics Centre is eager to welcome new members and encourages interested individuals to register online through the RegistrationsHQ Portal on the Little Athletics South Australia website.
