To support and be a part of the Gympie Pony Club community without participating in riding activities.

The Gympie & District Pony Club is a vibrant and inclusive sports club located in Gympie, Queensland. With a rich history dating back to 1958, we are proud to be the first pony club formed in the state. Our club is open to individuals of all ages and skill levels who have a passion for horse sports and want to have fun while forming lasting friendships.

Situated next to the picturesque Mary River, our club boasts well-maintained grounds that include a cross-country course. We are also conveniently located across the road from the Gympie Horse and Rodeo Grounds, creating a true hub for equestrian activities in the area.

At Gympie Pony Club, we cater to riders from all walks of life. From very young and inexperienced riders exploring their love for horses on their first ponies to seasoned competitors who compete at State and National levels, we offer a supportive and nurturing environment. Our experienced instructors provide valuable leadership and skills mentoring to help our young riders grow and develop.

In addition to catering to young riders, we also welcome mature-aged riders and parents who want to ride alongside their children. Our club has seen a growing number of boys joining and enjoying the riding and social aspects of our community, making Gympie Pony Club an all-inclusive and diverse organisation.

We understand that not all members may have aspirations for competitive riding, and that's perfectly fine. At our club, fun is the name of the game. While competition is optional, having fun is not. We believe in providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment where all members can pursue their passion for horses while making memories that will last a lifetime.

Gympie Pony Club is proud to be a part of Zone 6, which encompasses 20 clubs spanning from Gympie to Caloundra. Through our zone membership, our members receive regular updates about competitions and events, expanding their opportunities for growth and learning. Riding members are eligible to attend events from any zone, while also having the option to participate in closed Zone 6 events.

To become a member of our club, interested individuals can submit an application through the JustGo website. We offer two categories of membership: Riding Membership and Social Membership. Riding Membership grants access to all club rallies, competitions, and Pony Club Queensland (PCQ) events. Additionally, riding members have the privilege of using our club's grounds under instructor supervision.

Social Membership is open to parents and guardians of riders under the age of 18, as well as individuals who want to support our club without participating in riding activities.
