Club since its inception. We are proud to say that we have developed a strong community of dancers who are passionate about the art of ballroom dancing.
At Granville Community Dancers, we believe that dance is a universal language that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and experience levels. Our aim is to teach the wonderful method of self-expression through ballroom dancing. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, our dance lessons are designed to suit all ages and skill levels.
Our club offers a variety of dance styles, including Modern, New Vogue, and Latin. These resilient styles have stood the test of time and can be enjoyed by all age groups. We understand the importance of dance in celebrations and how those who can dance get more out of life. With us, you can learn the steps that make up a dance and join in the joy of dancing.
In addition to our regular dance classes, we also organise special events and parties for our members. Unfortunately, due to the recent Covid-19 flare-up, some events may be cancelled or modified to comply with safety requirements. However, we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our members to dance and socialise.
Our youth club is sponsored by the Granville RSL Sub Branch Club and has been operating for over 20 years. Lyn Davis, our experienced dance professional, has taught hundreds of children to dance, many of whom have competed successfully in ballroom competitions. We are proud to say that 90% of our current group of RSL Youth Club dancers regularly compete in ballroom competitions with an outstanding success rate.
We cater to dancers from 4 years old to 24 years old, with many of our dancers having been with the youth club for over 6 years. As dancers mature, they may progress into the adult lessons and engage in social or competitive dancing. Our club provides a friendly and safe social environment for all of our members.
