Are you the owner of Grampians Petanque Club?
Moyston Football Club Oval every Friday evening at 6pm. This is a great opportunity for both locals and visitors to come together and enjoy a game of pétanque in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All equipment is provided, so you only need to bring yourself and a willingness to have fun.
In addition to our regular social games, we also host a major tournament every year, usually in October. This is a highly anticipated event and attracts players from all over. If you're interested in participating, please contact our secretary and Player & Tournament Co-ordinator for more information.
The Grampians Pétanque Club Inc. was founded in 2002 by a group of passionate individuals in Moyston, and in 2004, we relocated to our current location in Halls Gap, Victoria. Our impressive floodlit “Boule-o-Drome” was officially opened in March 2005, and it has become a beloved venue for pétanque enthusiasts. Situated just 400m from Halls Gap town centre, our piste offers breathtaking views of the Grampians National Park.
Visitors are always welcome to use our facility free of charge, and we even have boules available for loan if you happen to forget yours.
The Boule-o-Drome features 19 shaded picnic tables and 6 bench seats, allowing spectators to enjoy the games comfortably. The grassy embankment under the trees provides a birds-eye view of the action. With two pistes, we can accommodate up to 66 players for triples or 44 players for doubles at any given time. In 2013, a second piste was added in the traditional French “terrain naturel” style, further expanding our capacity.
Our club is not only about playing pétanque but also about fostering a sense of social connexion and camaraderie. We encourage visitors to join us for a friendly game and experience the joy of pétanque firsthand.
