Our fishing competitions are decided on a points system. Points are awarded on the basis of one point per fish plus various points (depending on species) per kilo of fish caught plus 20 or 40 bonus points (dependent upon competition) for fishing. Points accumulate over the calendar year and the Club Champion angler is awarded to the person with the most points for all competitions at the end of the year. Likewise, trophies are awarded to the Champion Lady and Junior anglers.
The angler with the highest average points score per outing is also awarded a trophy. Best of species weights are recorded for all competitions and trophies awarded to the heaviest of each species weighted during the year.
