The Goondiwindi Golf Course was founded in 1925 and in its early days was a sand green course and has now been converted to grass greens with 18 holes designed around a natural watercourse.
In 2009 The Goondiwindi Golf Club received a grant from the state government for a new irrigation system as a result of the grant the club now boasts lush fairways and has a reputation of being one of the best country courses in Queensland.
