Gerringong first joined the South Coast Rugby League Competion (later Group 7)in 1914 after withdrawing from the Sth Coast Rugby Union Compo. In 1913 where they played since 18? In the Rugby Union era they won the First Grade Comp. In 1899-1900-01-09-10-12 as well as U/18s in 1905.
The following people are credited with forming the Gerringong R. L. F. C.
Mr John Brittain Taylor – a local Civil Engineer Mr Tom Bergin - Publican - Gerringong Hotel Mr Pat Carroll – the local Mailman In the Clubs inaugural year in 1914 they won the First Grade Comp. Which was followed by topships in 1918-20-21-22-24-40-56-60-65-68-70-72-90-94. Their record of 15 premierships still stands in Group 7. They also won the following lower grade Competitions:- RESERVSE GRADE: 1995-2002 UNDER 18s: 1938-40-51-94-2000 THIRD GRADE (Reagan Cup): 1973 After winning First Grade Comps in 1920-21-22-24 the Club left the South Coast Rugby League Comp.
