Forrest MTB & Cycling Club

Forrest MTB & Cycling Club is a sports club located in Colac Otway Shire, in the beautiful region of Great Otway National Park in Australia. The club is dedicated to promoting the sport of mountain biking and cycling while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding area.

With 70 km of single track and new flow trails, Forrest MTB Trails offers some of the most diverse and fun trails in the country. The trails are designed to cater to riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced dirt enthusiasts. Whether you prefer riding through tall eucalypts, native bush, or magical fern gullies, there is a trail for everyone.

The club proudly acknowledges the Gulidjan and Gadubanud peoples as the traditional custodians of the land on which the Forrest Mountain Bike Network is built. They pay respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, and commit to building genuine and lasting partnerships that recognise and support the cultural heritage of the traditional custodians.

Forrest contains two main trail networks: the southern network and the Yaugher network. The southern network showcases the natural beauty of the Otway Ranges and is designed around the village of Forrest. It passes through tall eucalypt forest, dry heathy scrub, and magical fern gullies. The trails in this network offer experiences for riders of all ages and skill levels.

The Yaugher network, located north of the township, is accessible by riding up the Tiger Rail Trail for approximately 5 minutes. This network boasts XC trails through fields of grass trees and beautiful dry eucalypt forest. The trails at Yaugher range from beginner to expert levels, providing an authentic XC experience with a few more challenging black runs than the southern network.

To enhance the riding experience, there are pump tracks, a skills park, and a jumps line located at the Forrest Trailhead. Riders can practise their skills before hitting the trails and have loads of fun on the specially designed features.
