Forest District Cricket Club is a local, junior cricket club located in Forestville, Killarney Heights, Frenchs Forest, and nearby suburbs in Sydney. As part of the Manly Warringah Junior Cricket Association, the club offers a wide range of cricket programmes and competitions for girls and boys aged 5-17.
The club provides opportunities for children of all skill levels and interests in cricket. They offer programmes such as Junior Blaster for younger kids to develop their skills and have fun, Master Blaster for kids transitioning from Junior Blaster, traditional cricket for those who want to play the sport competitively, and girls-only competitions for female cricketers.
Registrations for the Forest District Cricket Club are now open and can be completed through PlayHQ. Players are also required to register for a CricketID, which links their profile to their previous season statistics on MyCricketID. The club also accepts Active Kids Vouchers, so participants are encouraged to have their voucher numbers ready during the registration process.
The club has different start dates for different age groups and competition stages. Stage 1, which includes under 10, under 11 boys, under 11 girls, and Master Blaster, begins after the school holidays in October. Stage 2 and 3, which include under 12, under 13, under 14 boys, and under 13 and under 15 girls, start on September 10th. The majority of games will have 8am or 10:30am starts, but occasionally, under 10 or under 11 boys games may be scheduled for a 1pm start.
Forest District Cricket Club strongly recommends limiting teams in Stage 1 to 7 players to ensure each player has ample opportunities to participate. In the event that a player is unavailable, teams can play with just 5 players, allowing each player to bowl and bat more. The club encourages Master Blaster participants to form teams with their friends and will assist in team formation as registrations come in.
Coaches and managers are required to register as volunteers through PlayHQ. This registration provides access to selecting teams for game day and e-scoring. Teams should be finalised by late August for Stage 2 and 3 and late September for Stage 1. The club advises coaches and managers to consult with their respective teams to confirm their participation and the division they wish to play in, as well as their desired training schedule.
Forest District Cricket Club would like to express their gratitude to their sponsors for their support. For more information about the club, registrations, or contact details, visit their website at www. Forestcricket. Com or contact them via email at info@forestcricket.
