Welcome to Essendon Royals Soccer Club, a leading community soccer/football club located in Melbourne's inner north-west. Originally founded in 1959 as Unione Sportiva Triestina, the club embraces its Italian roots, specifically the city of Trieste, which is reflected in its name. With over 800 players, Essendon Royals is dedicated to being one of Victoria's central hubs of football.

At Essendon Royals, we provide a fun, positive, and organised environment for budding junior soccer players to enjoy the game and develop their skills. We believe in fostering a love for the sport and building a strong foundation for young athletes to thrive in. Our junior programmes focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game, promoting teamwork, and instilling good sportsmanship.

In addition to our junior programme, we also have a range of senior teams that cater to players of different skill levels. Our senior men's team competes in VPL2 (formerly NPL3), showcasing our commitment to providing ample challenges for those seeking to prove themselves at a higher level in the game. We also have a senior women's team competing in the NPLW Victoria competition, demonstrating our dedication to fostering female talent.

Essendon Royals also maintains a number of social, open-age teams, providing a relaxed and enjoyable experience for players who simply want to play the game they love without the pressure of competitive leagues. These teams offer an opportunity for players of all ages and abilities to come together, have fun, and stay active.
