Eisteddfod: Students are actively encouraged to participate within the local Eisteddfod Programme.
McDonald Maths Competition: Students in Year 6 are invited to participate in the McDonald Maths Competition.
Maths Olympiad: Students in Years 5 and 6 participate in Maths Olympiad. The students are taught problem-solving skills and apply them as part of the programme.
Opti -Minds: Students in Year 6 are invited to work as a team for a six-week period and present their solution to a set problem at a regional gathering of schools.
Rock Pop Mime: Students from Years 4 to 6 are encouraged to audition for the Rock Pop Mime competition. This programme encourages creativity, imagination, and performance.
Instrumental Music Programme: Our Instrumental Music Programme enables students to learn Wind, Brass, String, and Percussion instruments.
MS Read-a-thon: All students are encouraged to participate in the MS Read-a-thon each year.
Excursions: Relevant and purposeful excursions are valued within all year levels. Major excursions include the Year 5 Rockhampton Excursion and Year 6 Leadership Camp.
Debating: Students in Year 6 are encouraged to participate in the local Debating Competition for Primary Schools.
Sporting Teams: Students have the opportunity to be very involved in interschool sport and zone representative sport. High participation, skill development and enjoyment are the focus of our programme.
School Choir: Students from Years 4-6 are encouraged to join the Emmanuel School Choir. The Choir practises every week and performs at school functions and community events.
Dance Fever: All students are taught a range of dance routines including a variety of traditional and modern styles. Years 4 – 6 compete for in an interschool competition at the end of the Term.
School teams are trained in Rugby League, Touch Football, Netball, and Hockey.
