Fit, or improving athletic performance. Elite PTSC Run Club is a sports club located in Sydney that offers group running sessions and specialised training programmes for various running events.
The club holds group running sessions every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the sessions take place from 6:00 – 6:45am and focus on interval and fartlek training. On Saturdays, the session runs from 7:00 – 8:00am and focuses on continuous aerobic and fartlek training. Additionally, the club offers Sunday LSD runs as part of their special training programmes.
All runs start from Elite PTSC gym, which is based at the Cronulla Sports Pavilion, 1 The Esplanade, right on South Cronulla Beach. The club takes advantage of the many excellent running routes in the local area, changing it up week to week. Participants running with the group can leave their belongings at the gym's Reception and have access to facilities such as toilets, showers, stretching, and pool.
To participate in the running sessions, individuals can register at the Reception about 5 minutes prior to the start time. First-time participants are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes early to fill out a short health screening and provide contact details for insurance purposes. For those interested in the special training programmes, they can register their interest by calling Reception or sending an email.
Elite PTSC Run Club caters to a broad cross-section of running abilities and welcomes everyone, including walkers. The club also offers specialised programmes for marathons, half-marathons, and events like Sutho to Surf, Bridge Run, SMH half-marathon, and various running festivals. This provides a great opportunity for participants to train with a group for added motivation and camaraderie. Personalised programmes for individual recreational runners participating in different running events are also available upon request.
The cost for the run sessions is $5 per session for casual participants, while personal training clients can attend the sessions for free. Personal training clients also receive free access to the run programme through their trainer or run group instructor. The club can also provide individualised programming for specific events upon request.
Elite PTSC Run Club has links and associates with The Running Company, The Shire, Oak Rd, Kirrawee, for all running shoe and clothing requirements.
