Welcome to Eastern Blades Hockey Club, a social-based sports club located in Perth. Established in 1949 by Mr. Stan Goodwin, Mr. Vic Read, Mr.
Noel Sturgeon, Mr. Bob Becker, and Mr. Ross Dunstan, our club has a rich history and a deep love for the game of hockey. Originally known as the Bassendean Hockey Club, we adopted our iconic red, gold, and black colours in 1973 and officially became Eastern Blades Hockey Club in 1994.
At Eastern Blades, we welcome players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or just picking up a stick for the first time, we have a place for you. Our club is known for its friendly and inclusive atmosphere, where everyone is encouraged to enjoy the game and build lasting friendships.
Our senior teams kicked off the season on April 1, 2023, and our juniors will be joining in on the action starting April 29. We wish all our members, both new and returning, a fantastic year filled with fun and memorable moments on and off the field. Speaking of events, Eastern Blades Hockey Club has a calendar full of exciting activities throughout the year. From Bingo and Games Night on May 26 to our Annual General Meeting and Curry Night on June 17, there's always something to look forward to. We also have a Quiz Night scheduled for August 11, Rick Hocking Day on August 12, Ladies/Supporters Day on August 19, and our Wind-Up event on October 21. Join us in these celebrations, as they are a great opportunity to bond with fellow club members and show your support for our teams.
