Drummoyne Water Polo Club was formed in 1904 as one of the foundation clubs, along with ten others, to compete in water polo for the first time in Australia. The club continues to innovate and leads the progression of water polo in Australia. From a humble beginning we now have over 350 members making Drummoyne Water Polo Club one of the biggest in Australia.
Most recently the club has had a strong focus on the grassroots of the sport with one of the largest junior development programmes in the country. A testament to the current Junior Development programme is the number of members representing in various State and National teams.
Over 100 years old and still going strong. Drummoyne Water Polo Club is one of the largest Water Polo clubs in Australia with about 20 teams entered in local competitions each year as well as competing in both the Men’s and Women’s National Water Polo League and routinely sending junior boys and girls teams to national and state championship tournaments.
