Douglas Park Little Athletics

Douglas Park Little Athletics is a sports club located at Douglas Park Sports Ground in the Wollondilly Shire Council area of New South Wales. The club offers athletics competition for athletes ranging from 4 years old to 100 years old.

The club's competition takes place every Friday evening, with the season starting on September 16th, 2022, and ending on March 10th, 2023. Athletes are required to arrive at 5:15pm for equipment set up, and the competition starts at 5:30pm. There is a break over the Christmas period from December 16th, 2022, to January 27th, 2023.

The club has different activities and schedules for different age groups. For athletes in the U6-U17 age groups, each Friday evening begins with important announcements, followed by athletes meeting their age managers in front of the hall. They are then taken to their various events throughout the evening. The Tiny Tots group participates in modified activities at the southern end of the field, preparing them for introduction to athletics in the U6 age group.

It is significant for all athletes to wear the club's uniform, including their registration numbers and age group numbers, as this is necessary for recording their results. The club provides information on their website regarding the correct uniform and display of numbers.

Registrations for the 2022/23 season are done online, and the registration fees are $120 for Tots and $155 for U6-U17 athletes. Online payment is the preferred method of payment. Proof of age must be shown for all new members.

The club also offers a range of uniforms, which can be purchased from their website or a specified retailer. The uniform options include singlets, crop tops, running shorts, tights, basketball shorts, and socks, with prices ranging from $15 to $35.

Parent participation is highly encouraged at Douglas Park Little Athletics. Enrolling a child in the club implies a commitment from parents to assist with the running of the competition. Parents can help with measuring throws or jumps, and assistance is available for those who may be unsure of how to contribute. It is mandatory for parents or guardians to stay at the ground with their child/ren during competitions.

Unsupervised children will not be allowed to participate.
