With over 10 years of experience, Debbie's Learn to Swim has been helping local kids become comfortable in the water. The school operates from a home-based facility that offers full amenities, including a toilet, shower, babies' change table, water cooler, and a seating area for parents.
The school boasts a heated pool that is always maintained at the perfect temperature and is shaded to protect children from the harsh Australian sun. Classes are conducted six days a week, and the school believes in maintaining small class sizes to ensure personalised attention and effective learning. Debbie, a seasoned swim teacher with 13 years of experience, leads an enthusiastic team of AUSTSWIM qualified instructors. The entire staff is dedicated to teaching children essential swimming skills that could potentially save their lives. Moreover, the instructors are proficient in teaching children with disabilities, making the school an inclusive and accommodating environment for all.
At Debbie's Learn to Swim, classes are designed to be enjoyable for everyone. With a maximum of two classes running simultaneously, the atmosphere remains calm and quiet. Small class sizes further ensure that each child receives individual attention and care. Classes run year-round according to the Queensland school term, except for school holidays and July, the coldest month.
Parents have the flexibility to enrol their child at any time during the term.
The school offers a range of classes to cater to varying age groups and abilities. For babies aged 4–6 months up to 2 years old, there is a Parent and Babies class where parents can join their baby in the pool. This class focuses on introducing water safety and familiarising babies with being in water, accompanied by nursery rhymes and sing songs. Class size is limited to six babies per session, and the cost is $18.

Children aged 2 years and above can enrol in the Learn to Swim class, where they will learn basic swimming strokes and water safety while having lots of fun. Class size is limited to three children per session. Additionally, there is a Stroke Development (Squad) class for children who have already mastered the basic strokes and water safety. In these classes, children will perfect their swimming strokes and build their fitness in the water.
Each class has two teachers to provide personalised instruction, and the class size is limited to four children.
Furthermore, Debbie's Learn to Swim offers a specialised class for children with disabilities. These classes prioritise personalised and caring teaching methods to ensure that all children have the opportunity to learn and enjoy swimming. Due to high demand, it is recommended to book early to secure a spot.
