Dapto Hockey Club

Dapto Hockey Club, established in 1978, is a sports club located in Wollongong that aims to provide a great experience for everyone playing hockey. The club encourages and develops all players in a safe and positive environment, placing an emphasis on having fun. Dapto Hockey Club fields teams across the junior, women's, and men's competitions and welcomes both male and female players of all ages and abilities.

The club has an executive and general committee that assists in all aspects of running the club, ensuring smooth operations and a well-organised season. The committee, along with dedicated volunteers, have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming 2019 season.

Dapto Hockey Club has achieved numerous leadingship wins throughout its history in various categories, including junior topships, women's premierships, and men's premierships. Some of these victories include the Under 14 and Under 10 leadingships in 1978 and 1979, respectively, as well as the 1st Grade and 2nd Grade premierships in 1996.

The club also honours life members who have made significant contributions to the club. These life members include Vic East, David Thompson, Frank and Yvonne Beaton, Janet Burnett, Sue Wagstaff, Terry Sense, Wayne Billett, Kevin Beaton, Darby Billett, John Webb, Chris Stolk, and Craig Schofield.

Dapto Hockey Club values the support of its sponsors, including its major sponsor Dapto Leagues Club and RKF Engineering Services. The club is always interested in partnering with new sponsors to further support its operations and development.

In terms of events, the club organises various training sessions for seniors and juniors, as well as a “Come and Try” and registration day. The club's home ground is the Illawarra Hockey Stadium located on Waples Road in Unanderra, NSW 2526. Additionally, the club takes part in various field state championships throughout the year, competing in different age groups and categories.
