Welcome to the Croydon Bowling Club, a vibrant sports club located just a few kilometres from Adelaide. Established in 1934, our club offers a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for both serious bowlers and those looking to experience the social aspect of the game.
Originally founded in 1932 in the backyard of the Brooker Brothers house in Queen Street Croydon, the club moved to its current location on Blight Street Ridleyton in 1971. With our spacious clubhouse and well-maintained greens, we provide the ideal setting for a game of bowls or a place to meet new friends.
We offer a range of activities and events for our members and the wider community. Our popular Night Owls competition, known for its fun and relaxed atmosphere, takes place on Tuesday nights during the Daylight Saving months. It's open to everyone, and all you need is a pair of flat-soled shoes or the option to play barefoot, in socks or thongs. BBQ and roll-up start at 6:30 pm, and the competition kicks off at 7:15 pm.
Exciting news! Jack Attack, the fast-paced and exhilarating variation of bowls, is coming soon to Croydon Bowling Club. Stay tuned for more information about this thrilling game taking the bowls world by storm.
At Croydon Bowling Club, we also take time to remember and honour our members. We recently mourned the passing of our beloved Patron, Doug “1/2 Past” Ryan, and held a funeral service to celebrate his life. We encourage all members to join us in paying our respects and support his family during this time.
