Craig Radcliffe commenced his martial arts training in 1982 under the guidance of Sensei John Bradley, studying Judo for approximately a year. In the same year, he also enrolled in the Manchurian Comjuka Kempo and Modern Arnis programmes taught by Sensei Robert Fitton. Sensei Fitton himself trained directly under the founding Grandmaster Rafael Reston in Angeles City, Philippines, and also studied Modern Arnis under Guro Roland Dantes and Guro Rodel Dagooc, both students of the late Professor Remy Amador Presas.
In addition to his Kempo and Arnis training, Craig Radcliffe began learning Jujitsu under the instruction of Sensei Kim Hanley in 1983. He continued training with Sensei Hanley for approximately 2 years while still dedicating himself to his Kempo and Arnis practise.
In the mid 1980s, Sensei Terry Dunstan took over as the chief instructor at Fitton's Kempo Karate Modern Arnis Centre after Sensei Fitton left the Northern Territory. Under Sensei Dunstan's guidance, Craig Radcliffe's dedication and skill were recognised, and he was promoted to first degree black belt in Manchurian Comjuka Kempo and Modern Arnis in 1985.
Inspired by his passion for martial arts, Craig Radcliffe established his own Martial Arts School in Palmerston, Northern Territory, in 1987. In 1990, he relocated to South Australia and started teaching Manchurian Comjuka Kempo and Modern Arnis in Salisbury. During his time in South Australia, his students participated in local martial arts tournaments, achieving notable success and winning several medals.
Returning to the Top End of the Northern Territory in 1993, Craig Radcliffe's skills and commitment were further acknowledged when he was promoted to the rank of Third Degree Black Belt in Manchurian Comjuka Kempo and Modern Arnis. This honour was bestowed upon him by Grandmaster Rafael Reston and Master Instructor Sensei Robert Fitton.
Throughout his martial arts journey, Craig Radcliffe has actively participated in numerous seminars and training events, continually honing his skills and expanding his knowledge. Notable figures such as Grandmaster Cacoy Canete (Doce Pares Eskrima), Guro Dan Inosanto (a student of the late Bruce Lee and instructor of Jeet Kune Do and Kali), Kancho Tino Ceberano (Goju Karate), and Guro Rodel Dagooc (Modern Arnis) have contributed to Craig Radcliffe's growth as a martial artist.
