Learning is disguised as playing, making the programme enjoyable and engaging. Children can start Auskick in the calendar year they turn 5, and prior experience in Aussie Rules is not necessary. Parents are also encouraged to participate and have various options to get involved.

To ensure safe and fair play, Auskickers are divided by age, and there are optional all-girls groups available.
