Ever wanted to give parkour a go? Melbourne in Motion will be running a FREE Come-and-try Parkour sessions every month. Meeting at 6:00pm, meeting at the Kind Edward Monument on St Kilda Rd (opposite the NGV) Places are limited, so you'll have to book in through this Facebook event.
The class includes a warm-up together, an introduction to some of the fundamentals of parkour training, some games and a wee conditioning session too! It's a great workout, and a fun challenge.
The class is free and people of all ages (although those under 18 will have to be accompanied by a guardian) and all levels of fitness and experience.
WHAT TO BRING:
There’s no need to bring any special equipment. Just wear clothes that are comfortable to move in, and a favourite pair of runners. (If there have several to choose from, go with ones that have the lightest and thinnest soles.)
It’s important to stay hydrated, so remember to bring a bottle of water.
If it looks like it’ll be a chilly one, we recommend wearing several layers as we can warm up very quickly.
If you are likely to need any medicines (like Ventolin, for example) please bring it along, and make sure to let the coaches know where to find it, if relevant. Please be sure to let us know of any pre-existing injuries or niggles. It won’t mean you can’t join in- we’ll just find a way to work around it.
