The Cockburn-Fremantle Pistol Club (C. F. P. C.
) is a sports club located in the City of Cockburn. With a history dating back to 1958, the club has been providing a welcoming and supportive environment for pistol shooting enthusiasts of all levels. The club is recognised by the Department of Sport and Recreation and the City of Cockburn Council, receiving grants for continuous improvements.

, pistol shooting is considered a lifetime sport that offers personal satisfaction and the opportunity to compete at top levels both state-wide and nationally, even after retirement. The sport is open for both genders from the age of 12 and onwards. Pistol shooting is even recognised as an Olympic and Commonwealth Games sport.
New members are always welcome at C. F. P. C.
Prospective members can visit the club every Wednesday at 6:15pm by sending an email booking request to “secretary. Cfpc@gmail. Com. ” A payment of $20.
00 provides an introduction, safety training, and a supervised air pistol shoot in the indoor range with an endorsed Pistol Australia Club Instructor. Currently, the club has 180 members.
The safety of all participants is of utmost importance at C. F. P. C.
Like all sports, pistol shooting has many rules and regulations to ensure the safety of everyone involved. New club members receive supervision and instruction from a qualified club instructor. During the introductory phase, new members learn about safety, club rules, range rules, and shooting instructions. It is important to note that no firearms or ammunition are kept on the premises.
To apply for a “club use only” West Australian Firearms Licence, prospective members must be a financial member of an approved pistol club, complete a 6-month training at an approved club, pass the Police Firearms Awareness Test, and provide the necessary support documents approved by the WA Police. Safe firearm storage in compliance with WA Police guidelines is also required.

focuses on developing the skills needed to compete at club and interclub events. The club offers quality coaching and support through various levels, ensuring members are competent in handling and shooting guns in a safe and controlled environment. Members start their journey in the Air Pistol range and then progress to other live firing disciplines.
The club's mission is to support and develop talented junior members, providing them with greater opportunities to represent their club, association, and country at the Olympics.
