Cheryl specialises in resolving common and not so common behavioural problems, such as pulling on leash, separation anxiety, lack of recall, lack of control on or off leash, jumping on people, nipping and biting, dog aggression, animal aggression, dominance issues, destructive behaviour, jumping fences, and more. Coastal Country utilises stimulating environments to train dogs, including other dogs and animals, ensuring good control and focus in various situations. They prioritise balanced training, teaching you to be confident in giving commands to your dog and utilising a variety of methodologies. They emphasise the importance of clear communication, avoiding the repetition of commands, and making your dog calm and compliant through correct training.
Cheryl Reilly, the owner and trainer at Coastal Country, is a qualified former RAAF Police Dog trainer with 32 years of experience. She takes pride in her refreshing and effective approach to dog training, establishing a happy relationship between owners and their dogs. Cheryl offers group training sessions to help you and your friends train your dogs together, as well as private training sessions for individualised attention.
Coastal Country also offers a unique 14 Day Farmstay training option, which includes boarding in luxury nighttime indoor air-conditioned/heated accommodation and monitored fenced outdoor grassed running yards. Your dog will receive two meals a day with fresh meats/vegetables and quality dry foods, as well as thorough training. Upon completion of the training, owners receive a video of the training sessions and an individual management plan. Two weeks after completion, a one-hour visit is scheduled to provide further support and advice.
