City Beach Tennis Club (CBTC) is a picturesque sports club situated in Perth, Western Australia. Nestled just a few metres away from the beach, the club offers a serene and relaxing atmosphere where members can enjoy the sounds of crashing waves and breathe in the fresh sea air. Surrounded by lush manicured gardens and protected from the wind by natural bushland, CBTC boasts some of the most well-maintained courts in the state.
With a strong emphasis on catering to all ages and skill levels, CBTC offers a range of programmes and activities for its members. The club's juniors programme is highly regarded, providing young tennis enthusiasts with the opportunity to learn, develop their skills, and engage in friendly competitions. Additionally, CBTC has a very active social tennis schedule, with games organised for weekends and weekdays. Weekend games are designed to match players of similar skill levels in mixed, ladies, and men's doubles formats.
Midweek social tennis sessions take place on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday mornings, while mixed twilight tennis is available on Wednesdays from 5-6:30pm.
For junior members, CBTC organises Junior Club on Friday afternoons from October to April, providing a family-friendly environment where parents can catch up while their kids have a great time. Junior members also have the opportunity to participate in social tennis from 5-6:30pm on Fridays.
Competitive tennis is also a focus at CBTC, with the club fielding pennants teams in various divisions. Members have the option to form their own team or receive assistance from the club in finding a team. All pennant players are required to be registered club members. In terms of facilities, CBTC offers 12 grass courts, 4 floodlit synthetic courts, and 4 brand-new floodlit Rebound Ace surfaced courts. The spacious clubhouse features a well-equipped kitchen, a bar, and an expansive north-facing terrace that overlooks the courts. Additionally, there is a large gas BBQ available for members to use.
CBTC prides itself on being a club that caters to all tennis enthusiasts, regardless of their skill level, age, or availability.
