Chungdo Taekwondo is a well-established sports club located in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1974 by Grand Master Suh Chun Suk, we are one of Australia's oldest Taekwondo dojangs (schools). Our aim is to provide a balanced approach to the practise of Taekwondo, incorporating both the traditional ethos and skills of the martial art, as well as the more modern competitive aspects.
At Chungdo Taekwondo, we welcome individuals of all skill levels, ranging from those with no athletic background to active competitors. With a wide range of classes available, we cater to individual goals and provide a supportive and encouraging environment for all our students.
Joining our Taekwondo classes offers numerous benefits, including improved self-confidence, overall fitness, and being part of a tight-knit community. Our students also learn the values of hard work, dedication, respect, and diligence.
We have classes available in six suburbs across Sydney, as well as online options. This allows our students to train in a location that is convenient for them and to participate even when unable to attend in person.
At Chungdo Taekwondo, we place a strong emphasis on self-development as martial artists. We believe in supporting the growth of each individual, encouraging resilience, discipline, and a constant drive for self-improvement. Our goal is to empower our students to be their best selves.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our classes to offer both online and in-person options. As the Australian government reduces lockdown protocols, we are committed to opening our doors for in-person classes while still providing online options for those who prefer or require it.
No matter your age or experience level, Chungdo Taekwondo has a class for you. Our special class is designed for students aged 4–6 years old, while our general classes cater to students from 7 years old and above (with no upper limit). We also offer a Gentle Taekwondo class based on Australian Taekwondo's “Ageless Taekwondo” concept, specifically designed for individuals aged 65 years old and older. Additionally, we provide school sports programmes exclusively available to students of selected high schools.
Whether you are looking to improve your physical fitness, mental discipline, or simply want to become part of a supportive martial arts community, Chungdo Taekwondo is here to help you on your journey. Book your free trial class today and start your learning experience with us.
