Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council

The sporting teams that are currently representing Cherbourg at this very point are the Cherbourg Hornets Junior and Senior Rugby League teams. Cherbourg also enters teams in regional & annual football games and carnivals around the South Burnett area and other locations such as Brisbane, Cairns, Rockhampton, and Townsville etc. The most popular event that is very well-known and likely to be attended by most Cherbourg supporters & players is the All-Blacks Carnival. In the long run, Cherbourg has been highly noted for producing talented athletes, however, there are some young men who deliver more promising talent than others.

Cherbourg has also done very well in the local cricket competition, taking out the B grade competition.
