The school's classes cover a wide range of dance styles, including the internationally recognised Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet, ADA Jazz, ADA Tap, Contemporary, and toe-tapping Irish Dancing. Students have the opportunity to participate in exams and performances throughout the year, allowing them to showcase their skills and progress. To ensure personalised attention and quality instruction, class numbers are limited.

Classes are held at their two convenient locations in Carlingford and North Rocks. For children aged 2 to 6 years old, Carlingford School of Dance provides a specially designed pre-school programme to introduce them to the joy of dancing.

Carlingford School of Dance boasts an experienced and dedicated teaching team. Each member of the team is passionate about teaching and supporting students to achieve their best. All staff are qualified through professional dance organisations and actively participate in workshops and seminars to continuously update their qualifications. Additionally, junior classes have the assistance of qualified class assistants who are enrolled in the ADA teaching programme and have completed their Elementary Teaching Associate Diploma.
Principal Suzanne Atkins (Creer) leads the team at Carlingford School of Dance. She has a rich background in dance and teaching, having started classes at Carlingford in 1986. Suzanne has trained students in jazz, tap, and ballet, preparing them for exams, performances, auditions, and competitions. Many of her students have gone on to pursue successful careers in dance as performers and teachers.
Suzanne herself was a student of renowned teachers Dawn and Joy Ransley in Sydney and has extensive training in classical ballet, jazz, tap, and Irish dancing. As a young ballet student, Suzanne had the exceptional opportunity to dance with the Australian Ballet in productions of Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. She also pursued full-time dance and drama training at the Sydney College of Advanced Education, studying under prestigious instructors David Spurgeon and Margaret Chapple.
Suzanne holds various qualifications, including the RAD RTS Teacher Certificate, ADA Advanced Diploma in Jazz, Ballet & Tap, Registered Teacher with RAD & ADA, and an Associate Diploma from the Allied International Modern and Ethnic Board. She also has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
