The Cairns Bluewater Game Fishing Club Inc, formerly known as Half Moon Bay GFC, prides itself on being the friendliest club in Cairns, Far North Queensland. With a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1999, the club officially became incorporated in 2004 and changed its name to Cairns Bluewater Game Fishing Club Inc in 2007. The club operates out of Bluewater Marina and Cairns Marlin Marina.

The club's mission is to actively promote and support tag and release practises, as well as improve the image of game fishing and educate anglers. Cairns, along with the Great Barrier Reefs, is renowned for its Black Marlin grounds around the world. The club conducts competitions not only for its members but also for the local community and anglers from all over Queensland. The highlight of the club's annual calendar is the Cairns Bluewater Billfish Tournament, which takes place over three spectacular days in August.

This tournament attracts anglers from local, national, and overseas regions.

Affiliated with the Queensland Game Fishing Association (QGFA), the Game Fishing Association of Australia (GFAA), and the International Game Fishing Association (IGFA), the Cairns Bluewater Game Fishing Club follows their rules and regulations. The club's events have previously been qualifiers for the IGFA Offshore World Championships held in Costa Rica.
