CBC Cricket Club is an active participant in the South Metropolitan Cricket Association (SMCA), competing with four teams that span various formats of the game. From traditional Two-Day Cricket to a dedicated One Day team, the club caters to a range of playing preferences. Additionally, CBC Cricket Club also takes part in the SMCA's Formula 15 and Cricket West Belt Up Cup, two tournaments that showcase the club's talent and give teams a chance to play at the prestigious WACA ground.
The club's home ground is located at Karoonda Reserve in Booragoon, boasting recently upgraded facilities. The club rooms now include an air-conditioned viewing area with ample seating, allowing spectators to comfortably enjoy the cricket matches. The home and away change rooms have also been improved, along with additional storage facilities. The bar at CBC Cricket Club is fully licenced and operates during the cricket season, staffed by dedicated volunteers.
CBC Cricket Club is currently engaged in negotiations with the Melville City Council to introduce further upgrades to their facilities. These plans include the addition of dedicated change rooms and facilities for women, enhancing the club's inclusivity and expanding their offerings.
The club maintains a strong relationship with the Bateman Junior Cricket Club and has acted as a pathway for young cricketers in the area to progress into senior cricket. Training for teams takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with games scheduled on Saturday afternoons. The Formula 15 competition occurs on selected Tuesday afternoons/evenings, while the Cricket West Belt Up Cup is held on Sunday afternoons, as specified by the SMCA.
