When he began his martial arts training. He first studied the martial art of Kempo under Master Aragaki Seisho. Later, he travelled to China and spent several years training under the guidance of various Chinese masters. It was during this time that he learned the art of Goju Ryu, a style that combined elements of Chinese Kung Fu and Okinawan Karate.
When he returned to Okinawa, Kanryo Higaonna started teaching Goju Ryu to a select group of students, and his unique style became known as Higaonna-ryu.
Another influential figure in the history of Bushido Martial Arts is Jigoro Kano. Born in 1860 in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, Kano was a martial artist and educator who is known as the founder of Judo. He believed in the importance of moral and physical education through the practise of martial arts. Kano's philosophy aligned with the principles of Bushido, and his teachings greatly influenced the development of Bushido Martial Arts.
Today, Bushido Martial Arts combines the traditional systems of Goju Karate and Judo with modern techniques from Kickboxing, Boxing, and Thai-Boxing. The club also incorporates skills from Ju Jitsu, Aikido, Kung Fu, and Tae Kwon Do, making it a freestyle martial art that offers a well-rounded and comprehensive training experience.
