Bushflyers ACT is a prominent sports club in Canberra, Australia, specialising in orienteering. Undoubtedly one of the most successful orienteering clubs in the country, Bushflyers has produced numerous Australian champions and representatives. The club has even clinched the prestigious club championship at the national level multiple times, solidifying their reputation as an esteemed organisation.

Born out of a merger between two original Canberra-based orienteering clubs – the Northside Navigators and the Majura Macropods - Bushflyers came into existence around 1990. Since then, they have been actively involved in fostering a strong sense of community among their members. The club organises regular social events known as “Bushies Swarm,” informal gatherings that rotate through the homes of different members. These events serve as fantastic opportunities for newcomers and existing members alike to connect and build meaningful relationships.

Bushflyers prides itself on being both inclusive and supportive, particularly towards newcomers. With a plethora of experienced members willing to lend a helping hand, newcomers can expect a warm welcome and guidance at local events. The club holds a special annual award, the Ian Booth Award, named in honour of the late Ian Booth, a revered member who passed away from a sudden heart attack in 2011. The award, often accompanied by a well-deserved bottle of high-quality Australian red wine, recognises the most improved Master's level competitor.

To be eligible, participants must have competed in at least 50% of the ACT League events, with the award reserved for first-time winners.
