Burragorang District Soccer Club is a small but active sports club located in the villages on the edge of the Burragorang Valley, NSW. The club's home field is Willis Park, located on Burragorang Rd in Oakdale.
The club draws its players and members from the villages of The Oaks, Oakdale, Mt Hunter, Nattai, Belimbla Park, and the surrounding areas. They are committed to developing the game of soccer in the Burragorang District and provide opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to participate.
The BDSC Management Committee is responsible for developing, managing, running, and supporting soccer in the district. They hold regular meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month at The Oaks Hotel, starting at 7:30pm. All club members and individuals interested in Burragorang Soccer are welcome to attend these meetings.
The Management Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting, which takes place in September or October each year. The committee is composed of volunteers who dedicate their time and effort to ensure the smooth operation of the club.
Burragorang District Soccer Club also recognises exceptional achievements and contributions within the club. They present the Troy Betts Memorial Award and the Evan Berger Rising Star Award to deserving individuals. Additionally, they acknowledge 10-year and 15-year members and award the Club Champions title each year.
For the safety and well-being of all attendees, it is important to note that all council sports grounds, including Willis Park, are designated smoke-free areas. NSW Health Inspectors have the authority to enforce the ban, and fines of up to $550 may be imposed. Willis Park is also an alcohol-free zone, and NSW Health Inspectors can enforce bans and issue fines.
