Bundaberg Soaring Club

Welcome to the Bundaberg Soaring Club, located in the picturesque Bundaberg Regional area in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1965, the club has been providing exhilarating gliding experiences for over 50 years. Nestled at our current site on the airfield 20 kilometres south on the Childers Road, just down from the Forestry Tower, we boast a vibrant community of 15 dedicated flying members.

Our club offers a diverse fleet of glider aircraft to suit all levels of experience. Our fleet currently includes a Grob 103 Acro Twin Seater Trainer, a privately owned Twin Astir that is available for use, and a Pilatus B4 Single. All of our aircraft are meticulously maintained and available for use by our members. The Twin Astir and Grob 103 are primarily used for Air Experience Flights and student training, while the Pilatus B4 is exclusively for solo pilots with a minimum of 20 solo hours.

At the Bundaberg Soaring Club, we take pride in offering various avenues to experience the thrill of gliding. Our Air Experience Flights provide the opportunity to soar through the sky with an experienced instructor for a reasonable fee of $170. 00 per flight. Each flight typically lasts between 15 to 20 minutes, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the joy of gliding.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to deliver this experience on your first flight, we offer a complimentary second flight within 30 days. Additionally, we offer a discounted rate of half price on a second flight within the same 30-day period for the same individual. If you wish to share the gift of gliding with a loved one, vouchers are also available for purchase.

Our launches at the airfield are done exclusively by winch, ensuring a safe and exhilarating experience for all.
