About

The Bundaberg Basketball Association is a thriving sports club located in Bundaberg, Australia. With a strong presence in the local community, they provide opportunities for both junior and senior players to participate in basketball competitions.

The club offers a range of competitions throughout the year, split into summer and winter seasons. Summer runs from October to March, while winter takes place from April to September. Senior men's divisions 1 and 2 play on Mondays and Thursdays, respectively, with division 3 and under 21 games held on Tuesdays. Senior women's division 1 games are held on Wednesdays, and there is also a social mixed competition on Thursdays.

New players are always welcome to join.

For junior players, the club holds competitions on Fridays starting from 4:00pm. Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to participate, and new players are warmly welcomed. Additionally, the club offers a junior representative programme for boys and girls aged 12 to 18. These teams compete in various tournaments and events throughout the 2023-2024 season.

The Bundaberg Basketball Association understands the importance of volunteers in running a successful club. They actively seek coaches, referees, officials, and general volunteers to contribute to the growth and development of the sport. Those interested in volunteering can register via their website. The club values the contributions of volunteers and appreciates their dedication to the community.

Bundaberg Basketball Association also recognises the traditional owners of the land, including the Taribelang Bunda, Gooreng Gooreng, Gurang, and Bailai Peoples. They pay their respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and acknowledge the Elders, past, present, and emerging. The club extends this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who visit their stadium.

In addition to their sporting pursuits, the club encourages members and visitors to support local businesses that support the Bundaberg Basketball Association. They also offer a user-friendly website, created by Lissa Loves Admin, where visitors can find more information about the club's events, competitions, and volunteering opportunities.
