Fencing offers skill, fitness, and fun -- who hasn't wanted to battle the forces of evil with a sword and a spirit of derring-do? Beginners can come to Bulli Swords to get a friendly, informal welcome to the sport. More-experienced fencers can find new people to bout who love fencing as much as they do. Training sessions (which are every Thursday during school terms at the Uniting Church hall in Corrimal, just off Underwood Street) start at 7:30 with footwork. Then every beginner gets a private lesson with the coach (time permitting). All gear is there to borrow for the evening. Once beginners have a grasp of the basics, they can start sparring with the other fencers.
Opportunities are available for extra practise and feedback, social events, and support for competition.
