Broadwater Dragons Paddling Club

Welcome to the Broadwater Dragons Paddling Club, a dynamic sports club located in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Established in September 2001, our club was founded by a passionate and experienced team of paddlers with the goal of promoting and developing the sport of dragon boat paddling at both social and competitive levels.

At Broadwater Dragons, we believe that dragon boating has something to offer everyone. Whether you're looking for a fun and social activity or aiming to compete in local, state, national, or even international regattas, our club provides the platform for you to achieve your goals. We welcome new members to join us for the upcoming 2023/2024 season and invite you to give dragon boat paddling a try.

Our training ground is situated at Arthur Earle Park, Nerang, offering a picturesque location on the Nerang River. We conduct training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30pm and Saturday mornings at 7:00am. These training sessions not only focus on developing paddling skills but also provide a great opportunity to connect with fellow members and enjoy the outdoors.

For those interested in trying dragon boat paddling, we offer regular “Come & Try” sessions on the first Saturday of each month at 7:00am. During these sessions, you can experience the thrill of dragon boat paddling without any obligation to join. We provide all necessary equipment, including life jackets and paddles, so all you need to bring is a sense of adventure, a set of dry clothes, a towel, water or sports drink, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and suitable clothing and footwear.

Our dedicated committee works diligently to ensure the smooth functioning of the club and to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members. We are also grateful for the support of our sponsors, whose contributions play a vital role in sustaining our club's operations.
