Brisbane Road Runners

The Brisbane Road Runners Club (BRRC), formerly known as the Queensland Marathon and Road Runners Club, has been actively promoting health and happiness through running for over 40 years. Established in 1982, the club organises events every second Sunday, usually starting at 6am but occasionally at 6:30am for safety reasons. The events take place along Riverside Drive at West End, Brisbane, on an accurately measured 5k course. For longer distances, multiple loops are utilised. With police permits in place, marshals stationed along the course, and a designated water table near the SBSC Clubhouse for participants to bring their own water, the club ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all runners.

BRRC uses electronic timing to track lap and finish times, and a timing clock is positioned near the start/finish line. Members of the club enjoy the benefit of no event entry fees and have the option to pre-register online for events leading up to each event.
