Know when nominations for carnivals open and will provide you with the necessary forms. Please note that there is usually a cost involved in entering a carnival, which varies depending on the event.
Club Championships. Our annual club championships are a highlight of the season and all swimmers are encouraged to participate. To be eligible for age champion at the club championships, swimmers must compete at 5 club nights and 4 carnivals by a specified date. The club championships are a great opportunity for swimmers to showcase their skills and compete against their peers.
Trophies are awarded to age champions, and it is a fantastic event for the whole family to enjoy.
Committee Meetings. The committee of the Boyne Tannum Bullets Swimming Club meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6. 30pm in the Tannum Sands State School Staff Room. All members are welcome to attend these meetings and provide input into the running of the club.
The committee plays a vital role in the development of club members and volunteers, and we encourage anyone who is interested in officiating, coaching, or training to advise the committee.
Membership. The Boyne Tannum Bullets Swimming Club is a family-friendly club that consists of approximately 110 swimmers. We cater to swimmers of all abilities and ages, with a focus on personal achievement. Our club encourages the development of members through volunteer training in various areas, including officiating, coaching, and training.
We welcome existing, new, and potential members, and are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone.
Club Nights. Our club holds fortnightly club nights on Wednesdays from 6pm to 7. 30pm. Swimmers can register for a maximum of 4 events for each club night by completing the nomination form at the pool.
Nominations close at 5pm sharp on the Friday before the club night, and no late nominations are accepted. Attendance at club nights is not compulsory, but to be eligible for Age Champion at the club championships, swimmers must compete at 5 club nights by a specified date.
Carnivals. Throughout the season, we attend various carnivals in the Central Queensland (CQ) region. These carnivals are a great opportunity for swimmers to showcase their skills and have fun. Information about upcoming carnivals, including venues and dates, is distributed during the season.
Swimmers are encouraged to participate, and for new swimmers, 'novice' carnivals can be a great starting point. Please note that transportation to carnivals is the responsibility of each individual, and a parent or guardian is expected to attend with the swimmer.
Club Sponsorship. The Boyne Tannum Bullets Swimming Club is proud to have 'The Sands' as our major sponsor for the Club Championships. We are grateful for their support and look forward to strengthening our partnership in the coming seasons. We would also like to thank our other sponsors for their contributions to the club.
