Belmont Services Bowls Club

Belmont Services Bowls Club is a friendly community sports club located in Brisbane. The club recently amended its constitution to include both men and women members, and it prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming to bowlers of all ages and skill levels.

If you're a new bowler or interested in trying out lawn bowling as a sport, Belmont is the perfect club for you. They offer free coaching to help you learn the basic skills of bowling and can provide guidance on equipment supplies and footwear. Simply contact their coaching coordinator through the club to arrange coaching sessions and an introduction to the game.

Belmont's social bowls programme is designed to meet the needs of all bowlers, whether you're looking for a purely social experience or aiming to improve and compete at higher levels. The club regularly organises various social bowling events that members and visitors can participate in. To join these events, you can contact the club or visit them in person and put your name on the game sheets. Visiting bowlers are always welcome to play on Belmont's wonderful greens.

In addition to social bowls, Belmont Services Bowls Club also hosts annual competitions among its members to crown Club Champions in singles, pairs, triples, and fours. The winners of these competitions have the opportunity to progress to higher level competitions at District, State, and National levels.

The club is also actively involved in competing against other district clubs in the Gateway District Pennants, held from July to September for men and from June to August for ladies. Belmont's leading League competition, held from January to March, attracts players of the highest level in the sport and includes Queensland and National representative players.

Belmont Services Bowls Club also participates in other competitions such as the GR8 Competition, where a team of eight players competes against other clubs in the Brisbane area, and the Gateway Summer Shield, held in the first quarter of each year.
